Community activities

The group gathers around the table the work is done on. From there you see everything: the material spread out, and the tools laid within reach.

We show what a piece is made from and what it is made with: a lambskin spread on the table, the hammer, the punches, the mat you strike on.

Then they do the work themselves. The craftsman holds the strap and the punch, and the hammer blow is struck by the one who is learning. A leather bracelet is measured and closed there and then, on the wrist.

In the shop, the căciuli and cușme are tried on: white curly lamb, astrakhan, black fur. You see there and then how a cușmă sits on a head, which no photograph shows.
