A căciulă with a band of tightly curled, astrakhan-type fur and a velvet crown. The band holds the shape and sits square on the head, while the crown settles softly over it.
The first photograph shows several caps of this kind, the band in grey or in black, the crown red or black. One of them carries a cross embroidered in gold thread on the crown: that one is a ceremonial piece, made to order, not ordinary shop stock.
The second photograph shows a cap in felted wool cloth, with no fur at all, its band turned back and a small embroidered mark on the edge. It is a different material and a different kind of piece, even if it is worn in the same season.
This piece is made from Astrakhan-type curl, Velvet, Wool cloth.
The exact materials and origin are confirmed at the collection launch.
- Do not crush the fur band: keep the cap on a block or loosely stuffed.
- Shake the velvet out and brush it lightly, dry; never rub it with water.
- Wet fur dries in the air, then a shake resettles the curl.
